Consultation & Digital Scan
The dentist examines your teeth, assesses suitability for aligners, and takes a digital scan or impressions. For Invisalign, the scan is processed through ClinCheck for treatment planning.
Treatment Preview & Approval
You receive a digital simulation of your tooth movements and expected final result. The dentist reviews the plan with you and adjustments are made to achieve your desired outcome before fabrication begins.
Aligner Fabrication & Delivery
Your complete series of custom aligners is fabricated and delivered. The dentist fits your first few sets, ensures they seat correctly, and attaches any required composite attachments to teeth.
Progressive Treatment
You change to a new aligner tray every 7–14 days. Each tray moves specific teeth by 0.1–0.3mm. Check-up visits every 6–8 weeks ensure progress is on track and address any concerns.
Refinements & Retainer
Once the planned movements are complete, any minor refinements are completed with additional trays if needed. A clear retainer is fabricated to maintain your final result — worn at night indefinitely.
Aftercare for Aligners & Invisalign

Wear Aligners 20–22 Hours Daily
Remove only for eating, drinking anything other than water, brushing, and flossing. Every hour out of the aligners extends your treatment timeline.
Clean Aligners Every Day
Rinse with lukewarm water — never hot, which warps the plastic — and brush gently with a soft toothbrush to remove bacteria and odour.
Brush Before Reinserting
Food and plaque trapped under aligners accelerates tooth decay dramatically. Always clean your teeth thoroughly before putting trays back in.
Store in the Case Always
Never wrap trays in tissue or leave them loose — they will be accidentally discarded or broken. The case keeps them safe and hygienic.
Attend All Review Appointments
Six to eight-weekly check-ups allow your dentist to monitor progress, issue new trays, and address any tracking issues before they affect your outcome.
Wear Your Retainer After Treatment
Once active treatment is complete, night-time retainer wear is lifelong. Stopping retainer wear allows teeth to drift back towards their original positions.
